Our Story
The seed for LAKAN started in 2016 as a patient support group under the name of Juan Positive Movement (JPM) founded by one of the most promising HIV advocates back then, the late Sherwin Baniqued.

​Since then, through a shared vision of providing free and accessible community-led HIV services, LAKAN bonded into a network the Community Based Organizations in Central Luzon gaining its Securities and Exchange Commission accreditation as the Regional TB HIV Support Network Inc. (RTHSN) on August 19, 2020. RTHSN, more popularly known as LAKAN, is a progressive community leader working hand in hand with the Local Government Units and agencies such as Department of Health Central Luzon Center for Health Development (DOH CL CHD) in responding to the challenges of HIV and TB in Region 3 Central Luzon.

Mission
To effectively and efficiently deliver TB, HIV and AIDS services, while enabling community empowerment, and contributing to the enhancement of systems for health in Central Luzon.
Vision
RTHSN is a sustainable and dynamic organization that leads in providing responsive programs and services to aid in the eradication of TB and AIDS, and promote the welfare of LGBTQIA+ in Central Luzon.
